Connecting to your engines — CORS

Browsers block cross-origin fetch() unless the metrics server allows it. Both of your endpoints are small Python BaseHTTPRequestHandler services. Add one header to each and the dashboard can read them directly:

Alternatives

Same origin: serve this dashboard from the same server that exposes /metrics (add a route that returns this HTML file). Same-origin requests need no CORS header.
Proxy: when this page is served over http(s), it retries failed requests through /m?url=… on its own origin. Implement that route on your static server to proxy any metrics URL.

Tips

Prometheus text and JSON payloads are auto-detected per response.
Counters become rates (#rate); histograms become p50 / p90 / p99 automatically.
Open with ?sample=1 to seed the two demo endpoints.
Configuration lives in localStorage — Export / Import moves it between machines.
