Privacy Policy

The short version

localhosted.us is a community wall for people who run AI at home. We collect the minimum needed to run it, we run no ads, no analytics, and no trackers, and we never sell or share your data with anyone.

What we store

• If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile picture — used only to show your name on messages you choose to post under it and to keep your session. We request no other Google permissions and cannot see anything else in your account.
• If you post on the wall: the message text, the display name you chose (your account name or an anonymous handle), and a timestamp. Signed-in posts are linked to your account internally, even when displayed anonymously, so we can act on abuse.
• If you post anonymously: a short-lived, coarse rate-limit counter keyed on your IP address (kept in memory, expires within an hour). We do not store IP addresses with messages.
• If you vote for an engine: which engine you voted for, linked to your account so the vote can be toggled.

AI moderation

Every message is read by an automated moderator (a language model running on our own hardware — nothing is sent to third-party AI services) before it appears publicly. Moderation decisions and timing are logged for audit purposes.

Cookies

One session cookie when you sign in, and your theme preference in local storage. That's the whole list.

Deletion

Want a message or your whole account gone? Email [email protected] and it will be removed.
